transfer titles to gw2 - Guild Wars Forums

I tried finding out an answer for this on the web unsuccessfully, I have a question about titles in gw2,
if I will max titles in gw1, will i be able to transfer the to gw2?
i know gw2 is clean start for all, but i heard that the titles can be shown but their benefits are not transfered. is that true?
acctually i dont care about the benefits, just to show the titles.
i don't want to work on those titles and in the end ill find out that it will not be shown in gw2.
anyone really knows the aswer for this question?
(i tried contact gw support to find out, and if i will get an answer from them i will post it here.).

The short answer is no one knows specific details except ArenaNet, and they are not telling.

No one knows. We can assume that you won't be able to display the same titles, as you say GW2 is a completely different game although it will have some ties to the original game.
Just work on what you want and worry about GW2 when it is released, you'll still be able to complete titles after GW2 comes out as GW isn't going anywhere.

Most of the stuff is still speculation. No one knows how exactly the HOM is going to work in relation to GW2. we just have to wait and see later this year. The most reasonable hope people have is that it might unlock certain armor or weapons, but this is also speculation.

I have always been under the impression that each maxed monument will unlock a specific object in GW2 (probably in the line of hats, mini or everlasting tonic). How much of it is interpretation of text and how much is actually in the designer's mind, I don't know.

The only title who will, I think, have some form of direct effect on HoM is GWAMM. From there, it could be an equipment that scale with rank, is only for maxed GWAMM, or some kind of title.

We don't know for sure how the transfer from your gw1 acct to the gw2 acct will be yet. Just hang in there we have another year to get through together first.

Let me start by saying that my answers are according to the current info on GW2 - anything can change when GW2 goes live.

No, titles do not "transfer" to GW2.

The titles that have statues for them, can be shown in your HoM (if it transfers to GW2). You may also show some sort of title in GW2 that indicates what level of GWAMM you had in GW1. The titles don't give any benefit in GW2.

As I said, you can take people into your HoM to show them the titles that you had in GW1, but I don't think that any particular GW1 title can be shown by you personally - just an overall title as mentioned above.

Why would you want to transfer titles from one game to another? GW2 is not an expansion, it's a new game...
If you don't want to work on titles if they do not show in GW2, stop maxing titles.. simple.

Having titles in HoM will give some sort of bonus in GW2..

But why care? GW2 is 1 - xx years from now...
Just play GW for the fun of it.. Not some stupid future coming game, that you don't even know if you like...........................

A-Net said we will be rewarded for our efforts in GW2. They never said anything about directly transferring titles or equipment from the HoM. I would expect mini's, tonics, /bonus weapons, that sort of thing. But it's all just speculation, in reality: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s88r_q7oufE

tbh I think its more along the lines of some special emotes like the CE edition. They can't really give us that much exclusively as that would kinda deter potential customers.

Besides with the way things are going theres the possibility that the rewards could be bought via in game item shop....

No one knows what the deal is. For all we know, the titles and stuff in HoM might only give u 50g to start to game off with. (of course this really isn't it...but it might be...but not likely...but we don't know..) *head explodes*
